During the process of cryosurgery, the person going through it will have to be in cold conditions, that could be around -20 degrees celcius, it controls pain or bleeding, prevent tissue damage. (Vorvick) Also, the internal and external environment of your body may also be treated by cryosurgery. Some examples of what cryosurgery treats is warts, moles, cervical disorders, or hemorroids. ("Pap Smears, Abnormal Pap Smears, Dysplasia, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery.") Also, it treats some cancers such as, retinoblastoma, early stage skin cancers, actinic keratosis(pancreas skin growths), and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(abnormal cell changes in the cervix that can develop into cervical cancer). ("Cryosurgery in Cancer Treatment: Questions and Answers.") The most common technique is the spray technique. Also, they use liquid nitrogen is the best freezing source because of its low boiling point and its ease of use. (Kuwahara) Although, after the surgery, people might have to do with slight cramps and also maybe experience random cold or hot conditions. People have to take precautions after having the surgery, nothing should go into the vaginal area for a few weeks, this would mean no tampons, no douches or no sexual intercourse. (Cornforth) Some risks on having the surgery is bleeding, infection, or very little scarring, but may lead to having problems getting pregnant. (Chen)
